You have successfully launched the Game of Humans powered by Life.exe, the open-world reality simulation currently running across all known dimensions.

This document serves as your official orientation materials. It is intended to clarify your starting conditions, core mechanics, and known system limitations. Familiarizing yourself with this information early may reduce confusion, unnecessary suffering, and repeated side quests involving existential dread.

At Launch: What You’re Given

Every Player enters the simulation with the following standard issue equipment.

🧍 One (1) Human Body

Durable, self-repairing, and highly responsive to environmental stimuli.

Includes:

Five sensory input channels
A nervous system with strong opinions
An unexplained tendency to malfunction under stress or hunger

Maintenance is required. No replacement bodies are currently available.

🧠 One (1) Consciousness

Provides self-awareness, imagination, memory, and the ability to ask questions that destabilize your entire worldview.

Side effects may include:

Curiosity
Meaning-seeking
Sudden realizations at inconvenient times

Updates occur automatically and cannot be postponed.

👁️ Third Eye Technology

All Players are equipped with a built-in Third Eye Interface, sometimes referred to in legacy documentation as intuition, insight, awareness, or “that feeling you ignored and later regretted.”

This technology is installed by default but generally remains inactive for most early gameplay.

When online, it enables:

Expanded perception beyond surface-level events
Pattern recognition across emotional, relational, and symbolic data
Detection of hidden mechanics operating beneath consensus reality

Activation conditions vary by Player and are often triggered by stress, curiosity, loss, silence, or prolonged exposure to uncomfortable truths.

Premature activation may cause confusion, social friction, or the urge to redesign your entire life.

🧠 Next-Gen Consciousness Engine (Adaptive)

Reality runs on an adaptive consciousness engine rather than a static intelligence model.

Your consciousness engine operates on experience-based learning protocols, not pre-programmed logic.

This means:

Updates occur through lived experience, not instruction
Old beliefs automatically deprecate when reality conflicts with them
Growth requires direct engagement with uncertainty

Performance cannot be optimized through shortcuts. Periodic system crashes (existential crises) are normal and often precede major upgrades.

One (1) loyal companion with no understanding of money, deadlines, or social expectations
Advanced empathy interface with expressive eyes
Built-in joy amplifier and stress-reduction module
Unconditional affection with occasional property damage

Pets may arrive as dogs, cats, or other mysterious lifeforms in existence.

⚠️ Caution:
The Companion Expansion Pack can be activated as many times as desired, however other players or lifeforms may respond if companions are not properly maintained or if the expansion pack is activated too many times.

Preloaded System Settings (Non-Optional)

Each Player ships with default configurations installed prior to spawn. These settings cannot be skipped, deleted, or factory-reset through normal gameplay.

🧬 Ancestral Programming

Inherited behavioral patterns, instincts, talents, fears, and coping mechanisms passed down through your lineage.

Some processes are optimized.
Others are legacy code.
Most run silently until triggered.

🔁 Karmic Parameters

A starting momentum shaped by prior choices, unresolved lessons, and experiential carryover from previous playthroughs.

Exact values are hidden by design.

🌍 Environmental Conditioning Files

Early-game inputs based on culture, family, education, and social systems.

These files strongly influence decision-making until consciously reviewed.

Unique Player Configuration (Auto-Generated)

No two Players receive the same build.

Each Player is issued a distinct combination of strengths such as creativity, logic, empathy, resilience, leadership, perception, humor under pressure, or the ability to stay calm while everything is visibly on fire.

Some abilities unlock early.
Others require repeated failure, emotional damage, or a moment of clarity in the shower.

Built-in attractions toward specific questions, experiences, or themes.

Ignoring these may result in:

Persistent dissatisfaction
Restlessness
The sense that you’re playing the wrong class

Limitations are intentionally included for balance.

These may manifest as:

Avoidance patterns
Emotional sensitivity
Overthinking
Impulsivity
Trusting the wrong NPCs

📈 Growth Potential Slots

Designated areas for improvement through reflection, repetition, failure, and occasional breakdowns followed by insight.

Progress is slow.

Companion Creatures (Optional)

Not all Players receive a companion entity at launch.

Those who do may encounter:

Children
Unplanned allies

These companions often arrive without instruction manuals and may dramatically alter your playstyle.

A minimap
A visible XP bar
Guaranteed fairness
Clear win conditions

Meaning is discovered, not assigned.
Progress is measured internally.

After extensive review, they are not classified as bugs.

Status: Feature. Prevents premature ego inflation.

Automatic benchmarking against other Players using incomplete, surface-level data.
Status: Will not fix. Disable manually through awareness.

⏳ Delayed Consequences
Significant time lag between action and result.
Status: By design. Teaches pattern recognition.

❓ Unclear Tutorial Prompts
Important lessons delivered through pain, loss, or cryptic synchronicity instead of clear instructions.
Status: Intentional. Direct instructions reduce retention.

💾 Save File Corruption
Inability to return to “easier” previous versions of yourself.
Status: Forward-only progression. Rollbacks not supported.

🌊 Emotional Volatility
Rapid shifts in internal state triggered by minor external events.
Status: Sensitivity is a feature, not a flaw. Adjust settings through practice.
